About me:
Mark grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, where he was active in sports, music, and theater. He went on to major in English Literature and World History at Penn State University, where he continued to remain active in sports, music, and acting.
Upon graduating from Penn State, he moved to Boston to work for Greenpeace, and then went to Indiana University to begin working toward his PhD in English Literature.
While at Indiana, he continued acting in plays on the side, and eventually came to the realization that this was his true path. He dropped out of the program at IU and moved to Seattle, where he became active in the thriving theater scene there, as well as in the newly-emerging grunge-rock scene. While in Seattle, he earned his Master of Fine Arts degree in Acting from the University of Washington’s esteemed PATP Conservatory, and he certified with the Society of American Fight Directors.
He then moved to New York City, where he began to establish himself on and off Broadway as both an actor and a fight director. As time went by, he found himself going back and forth equally between New York and Los Angeles, and eventually moved to LA to shift the focus of his career. Now, nearly 30 years later, Mark has worked in just about every entertainment medium imaginable, from Broadway and off-Broadway to film, television, stunts, animation, motion-capture, commercials, videogames, audiobooks, soundtracks, and voiceovers.
At various times in his career, he’s also taught writing, acting, public speaking, and history.
During the COVID pandemic, Mark formed a side-business building garden enclosures and teaching families how to plant and grow their own vegetable gardens.
These days, in addition to acting and voiceovers, Mark also works as a speaking coach — leading workshops and seminars on the Art of Presentation and Public Speaking, and coaching private and corporate clients from around the world (including India).
He is married with two children.
