DYTF21963 's Profile

Nationality: French

Language: English,French,German

Immersed in the world of cinema from an early age, Marianne already sensed at the age of 5 that she wanted something different: to be a dancer or an actress.

Determined, she graduated from the Conservatoire National d'Art Dramatique de Paris in 1977, and over the years carved out a remarkable career as an international actress. She toured and acted all over the world: in France, Italy, Great Britain and the United States, but also in India, a country she is particularly fond of.

In film, television and theatre, Marianne has worked alongside such famous and talented directors as Robert Wise, James Ivory and Tom Alter. The list of her films, TV shows and stage roles is long, and covers a wide range of dramatic subjects. The characters she plays are eclectic, as evidenced by her latest films: "Danny goes Aum" by Sandeep Mohan, "Tonton Edouard" by David Maltese and Patrick Jorge, "Paris Proposal" by Jessica Harmon and "Retour à Pondichéry" by Raghunath Manet.

A true enthusiast, she devotes herself fully to the 7th art. When she's not shooting, Marianne is a regular consultant (she's a member of BAFTA) and jury member at festivals in India (Bangalore International film festival, Rajasthan film festival, Khajuraho, Indore, Mumbai, Agra, Aurangabad, Raipur, Ranchi, Azamgarh, Nashik), Italy, Egypt, Germany and France. She is regularly invited to give master classes at numerous universities and schools.

After chairing the short film jury at the Alexandria Film Festival 2024, Marianne will be flying to Abu Dhabi to give a series of master classes for the opening of the Innovative Film Academy in November.

Marianne has won many awards but the one she cherishes most are the Ghandhi peace award and her lifetime achievement in Jaipur and Egypt.

As an eternal cinema lover, she confesses that ever since the day she received a Special Prize from Mahmoud Hemida, her dream has been to shoot a film with him in Egypt.
